HIA 2008 pre-conference training courses will be held on Monday and Tuesday, 20-21 April 2009 at the Empress hotel, Chiang Mai. The training courses are opened to all participants with requirement for advance registration and payment.

|
HIA 2008 preconference training courses cost 285 US$ for the 2-day course. This fee includes course materials, lunch and coffee breaks. To register the training courses, please go to http://www.hia2008chiangmai.com/registration.php Courses fee must be paid in full before the participants will be enrolled in the training courses

|
If the participants must cancel, the courses registration fee will be refunded minus US$ 30 administration fee and contingent upon a written notice of cancellation received by 30 September. After 30 September, no refunds will be issued.

|
Check-In for the training courses will be opened on Monday, 20 April 09 at 8:00 am - 09.00 am. Name tags will be distributed at check-in and are required for admission to
courses.

Who should attend
Impact assessment practitioners who already have responsibilities for health impact assessment or who want to develop their capacity in this area in order to take up such responsibilities, it will also be of value to those who want to generally broaden the scope of their knowledge on impact assessment issues.

The courses are intended for participants with basic knowledge of health impact assessment methods and tools and who want to strengthen their specific competencies in HIA preparations, requirements and approaches to perform an adequate health impact assessment.
